The call for nominations for the inaugural Women Shaping the Future of Responsible AI (WSFR.AI) Awards is now open. This global initiative highlights and celebrates female pioneers in the ethical and responsible development of artificial intelligence for social impact. The awards seek to recognize and honor women who are leading transformative projects and research across five key areas: AI and Democracy, AI and Peace, AI and Learning, AI and Nature, and AI and Media.

Nominations and self-nominations are encouraged from women whose work in AI fosters positive societal change. The nomination period is now open and will close on 20 November 2024. Whether through early warning systems that prevent violence or by promoting understanding through AI-driven communication tools, this award honors those who use AI to enhance conflict resolution, promote diplomacy, and create lasting peace.

AI and Learning

Education is being revolutionized by AI, and this award celebrates women who are leading that transformation. From personalized learning platforms to innovative STEM programs that encourage young women to explore technology, the AI and Learning award highlights efforts to make education more accessible, adaptive, and inclusive for all.

AI and Nature

As the world faces increasing environmental challenges, AI is becoming a key tool in promoting sustainability. The AI and Nature award celebrates women who are using AI to drive sustainable practices, protect biodiversity, and address climate change.
